    Going to summer camp can be an enriching opportunity for a child.  Unlike the camps options of the past, camps today come in all shapes and sizes and are available for all kinds of interest.  Whether your children are into dance, music, science or the great outdoors, there's a summer camp in and around Richmond that they will enjoy.     Thanks to information provided by Chesterfield County Parks and Recreations, County of Henrico Parks and Recreation, Hanover County Parks and Recreations and Town of Ashland Parks, we have put together a kids guide to area county parks.  Download and print your local guide to help you choose which park to visit for picnics, playgrounds, hiking or sports.  Get outside and take advantage of all the amenities your local parks have to offer!

    Thanks to the help of Chesterfield County Public Library, Henrico County Public Libraries and Pamunkey Regional Library, we have been able to provide you with a preview of summer reading.  Here you will find more information about each libraries summer programs as well as suggested reading lists.  This summer, be sure to take advantage of your local libraries, encourage your kids to keep reading and fill out your school's and local library's reading logs for prizes.
